Error Codes
- E4 Error CodeDescription E4 appears on the display and the scooter may lose power, stutter, or refuse to engage the motor(s). Example: The scooter shows E4 during acceleration or after a bump and the motor cuts out. Symptoms E4 error code on the display (intermittent or constant). Jerky acceleration, no throttle response, or sudden motor cut-out. Error appears after a bump/pothole, hard acceleration, or during power-on self-check. Possible grinding, scraping, or electrical buzzing just before the error. One…Read more
- E5 Error CodeDescription The issue is typically caused by an undercharged battery or a BMS undervoltage protection event. Symptoms Scooter turns on briefly, then powers off. E5 error appears momentarily on the display before shutdown. Scooter will not power on at all in some cases. Possible Causes Battery is fully depleted and below recovery voltage. Battery Management System (BMS) protection is engaged due to undervoltage. Loose or oxidized battery-to-controller connectors causing voltage drop. Faulty char…Read more
- E1 or F1 Error Code: brake sensor circuit faultE1 and F1 are the same fault in the brake sensor circuit, reported at two moments: F1 when the power-on self-test fails, E1 when the fault appears during operation. Everything below applies to both. F1 or E1 right after the brake lever reach was adjusted: if the code appeared when you turned the lever reach adjustment screw (to move the lever further from or closer to the grip), the magnet inside the lever is out of line with its brake cut-off sensor, so the controller reads the brake as always…Read more
- E2 or F2 Error Code: throttle sensor circuit fault, scooter will not accelerateE2 and F2 are the same fault in the throttle sensor circuit, reported at two moments: F2 when the power-on self-test fails, E2 when the fault appears during operation. Everything below applies to both. Symptoms: E2 or F2 on the display, the scooter fails to accelerate. Cause: often a pinched or damaged throttle cable after adjustments or a fall (impact damage to the throttle or its connector, or a broken conductor at a high-flex point). First checks If the code is F2 (it appeared at power-on):…Read more
- E3 Error Code: communication fault, display and buttons unresponsive, will not accelerateE3 is a communication fault between the handlebar assembly and the motor controller. Symptoms: E3 stays on the display after power-up, no response to the power, mode or throttle buttons, the scooter will not accelerate and kick-to-start is disabled, the battery level may still look normal. Safety first: power off the scooter and disconnect the charger before inspection. Visual check: inspect the communication cable end to end for cuts, kinks or crushed sections. Reseat connectors: unplug and fi…Read more
- E7 error code on any Apollo model, Phantom 2.0 included: motor hall sensor fault, wheel locks or drags when powered on, one motor not spinningE7 means the controller detects a fault from a motor hall sensor or its circuit. Every model, Phantom 2.0 (52V and 60V) included. Symptoms: E7 at power-on, buttons work but the throttle does not, the wheel locks or drags once the scooter is on, or only one motor spins. 1. Inspect and reseat: check the motor cable (fork or arm, deck) for cuts, kinks or crushed sections. Reseat the motor and controller connectors; look for bent pins or corrosion. 2. Motor calibration: wheels off the ground on a s…Read more
