Brake Calibration for Electric Scooters
Do I need to do any brake adjustments out of the box?
The brakes should already be adjustments, but we always recommend that you give them a quick check, to make sure they work flawlessly!
Brake adjustment is also part of the regular maintenance of an electric scooter.
Refer to the setup guides on our YouTube channel for how to calibrate the brakes!

Squeaking, rubbing or scratching drum brake
Squeak: lubricate the moving parts (brake lever pivot, brake cable and the outside of the drum mechanism), never the inside of the drum. Dirt builds up there over time, so make it part of routine maintenance.
Scratching or rubbing just before braking: usually brake cable tension too tight, or the drum's grab screw not straight. Adjust the tension: https://youtu.be/g51p77I3cw4?t=441

Brake adjustment is routine maintenance, not a manufacturing defect.
