Understanding MACH Controller

Last updated November 5, 2026

Our MACH controller is the heart of what makes our electric scooters stand out—it's the brain powering smoother rides, smarter features, and unmatched efficiency. We engineered it from the ground up to transform everyday commuting into thrilling, reliable adventures.

What Makes Our MACH Controller Special?

We designed the MACH controller as a proprietary powerhouse that manages power flow, throttle precision, and regen braking with pinpoint accuracy. Unlike generic controllers, ours integrates seamlessly with dual motors using just one unit, simplifying maintenance while boosting performance by up to 27%.

Key advantages we built in:

  • Peak Efficiency: Maximizes range with advanced thermal management—58% cooler operation for longer rides.
  • Power RBS™: Our regen braking recharges your battery on the go, cuts brake wear, and stops you swiftly.
  • App-Powered Smarts: Real-time diagnostics, custom modes, OTA updates, and even fall detection in MACH 2.
  • Self-Calibrating: Adapts to your scooter's hardware automatically—no factory tweaks needed.

It's what powers our entire lineup, from Phantom 2.0 to Pro, delivering 44+ mph speeds and 0-30 in under 6 seconds.

Why We Chose MACH Over Traditional Controllers

Traditional controllers are basic—they handle power but lack our innovations, leading to heat buildup, jerky throttles, and shorter range. At Apollo, we ditched off-the-shelf parts for MACH to give you control that's responsive, safe, and connected.

Aspect Our MACH Controller Traditional
Efficiency Gain 27%+ better range Standard losses
Motor Sync Single unit for dual motors One per motor
Customization App modes, accel/braking tweaks Fixed settings
Safety & Monitoring Sensors, temp alerts Basic cutoffs
Upgrades OTA, self-calibrate None

We at Apollo believe MACH isn't just tech—it's freedom on wheels.

Mach 2 vs Mach 3: what a firmware update can and cannot add

The Phantom 2.0 Stellar runs the Mach 3 controller. Its extra settings (throttle curve shaping, regen sensitivity by speed, acceleration profile) come from the Mach 3 hardware, not from the app version, so no firmware update adds them to a Phantom 2.0 (52V) with the Mach 2 controller. The Phantom 2.0 keeps receiving firmware updates and keeps regen strength, ride modes and its other app settings.
