How to Factory Reset Your Scooter Settings via the App
Last updated October 19, 2026
A factory reset puts your scooter's main settings back to their defaults. It is useful when your settings are in a bad state, and before you sell or lend the scooter.
How to do it
Connect to your scooter in the Apollo app. The reset needs a live connection.
Open Scooter Details and tap "Reset to Factory Defaults".
Tap Reset to confirm, and keep the scooter on and close to your phone.
Wait for "Factory Reset Complete", then tap Done.
What it changes
The scooter PIN goes back to 888888 if you are the owner. Set a new one afterwards under Scooter Details, Security & Ownership, PIN. A guest's reset does not touch the PIN.
Maximum speed, the Eco, Comfort and Sport speed limits, throttle and brake response, auto shutdown time, cruise control, kickstart and the selected gear. On the Apollo Pro 2023, the light colours too.
What it does not change
Ownership, NFC cards, firmware, the odometer, stolen status and the scooter's name all stay as they are. To give the scooter to someone else, you still need Transfer Ownership.
A factory reset cannot get you past a PIN screen, because it needs a connection first. If you are asked for a PIN on a scooter you own but that is registered to another account, use "This scooter is mine: claim it" on the PIN screen instead.
